Hey, mama. My name is Michele and I'm honored that you're here. If your situation is anything like mine was, you’re here because you’re desperate for a safe solution that helps you and your baby get some much needed sleep. Every baby is different, yet dealing with nighttime disruptions is a common (and sometimes debilitating) issue. In my quest to help my son sleep better, I tried every type of sleep hack, sleep sack, designer cradle (you know the one that intuitively sways from side to side) and a top-rated sleep training program. Needless to say, nothing worked.

In my pursuit for a solution rooted in science, I recalled learning about Temple Grandin’s research and her work with Deep-Touch Pressure Therapy while in my Clinical Psychology graduate program. I saw it work firsthand with the young children I worked with. I soon realized my baby simply needed a little pressure simulation to help him feel better supported and soothed and that there could be a safe way to replicate this outside of my own arms. I realized I wasn’t the only one needing this solution. With critical care to details and a great deal of perseverance, Dear Mama was formed.

We hold our Dear Mama sleepwear to the highest standards. As a new mom and product designer, I had infinite questions and concerns to solve. I obsessed over the safety and efficacy of this product; every detail became a big deal. It still is. Through research and discussion with doctors, NICU nurses, occupational therapists, pediatric physical therapists, and more, we honed in on a design that I am both honored and eager to share with other families to help them the way it has helped us and so many others already.

I’ll never forget that first night my child wore the gradually weighted sleep sack. It was not only a sigh of relief that this was something I could trust him to wear throughout the night, but mama and daddy CRIED. Because for the first time in months, our baby didn’t. Within 5 minutes, he was asleep and slept for 12 hours. I want this for you so here's to helping your child's sleep journey, too.
