Frequently Asked Questions
How do your products work?

It may come as no surprise that babies who receive consistent, gentle touch tend to sleep more soundly. Research has shown that calming tactile input — such as cuddling, swaddling, or a caregiver’s hand on the chest — can support relaxation, promote regulation of the nervous system, and encourage restful sleep.

Our gently and gradually weighted sleep suits are designed to reflect those same calming principles. By offering subtle, evenly distributed input — never concentrated or restrictive — the suits are meant to mimic the comforting sensation of a caregiver’s embrace.

While we don’t make medical claims, this approach draws from well-established techniques like swaddling and facilitated tucking, which help babies feel secure and settled. These methods are associated with reduced restlessness and improved sleep quality in infants.

In short, the goal is to support your baby’s natural ability to relax and fall asleep — offering a soft, secure feel that encourages calm without compromising movement, breathability, or comfort.

Are weighted sleep solutions safe?

As a mom, you’re desperate for better nights — but you also want to make sure your child is supported in a way that addresses your safety concerns. We feel the same way.

Our gradually weighted sleep suits also incorporate the safeguards of traditional sleep sacks. Each garment is designed to stay securely in place and avoid shifting or riding up toward the face, helping maintain safe positioning through sleep.

While we make no medical claims, studies on deep touch pressure in older children and adults suggest that gentle, evenly applied pressure may help promote relaxation and self-soothing. Our goal is to offer that comfort through thoughtful design, while ensuring your baby’s freedom of movement, breathability, and comfort are fully respected.

That’s why our design intentionally:

  • Keeps total weight well below the 10% body weight threshold,

  • Avoids pressure around the shoulders, neck or lower legs, and

  • Allows babies to roll, stretch, push up, and shift positions with ease.

Your baby should always be able to move comfortably — and if they want to change positions, they can. Of course if you have concerns, we encourage you to simply observe your little one while they are awake and more active. We trust you will see for yourself how freely they can indeed move while benefiting from a soft, secure feel — without restriction or  interference.

Of course sizing and materials matter as well. Our gradually weighted sleepwear comes in three designated sizes:

  • Small: 3–7 months (12–19 lbs)

  • Medium: 6–12 months (16–24 lbs)

  • Large: 12–24 months (19–29 lbs)

Each size is designed to remain at or below 10% of the baby’s estimated body weight — a threshold commonly referenced in pediatric therapy guidelines for weighted input. For that reason, we do not recommend sizing up outside of these weight ranges.

Our garments are made from OEKO-TEX® certified bamboo-blend fabric, chosen for its exceptional softness, breathability, and moisture-wicking properties. Bamboo’s natural fibers help regulate temperature and support restful sleep. All materials and construction decisions follow general best practices for infant garment safety and comfort.

Always follow your pediatrician’s advice and safe sleep guidelines when choosing any sleep product.

Have you performed testing procedures?
We test for Lead (Metal, Non-Metal, Surface Coating), Phalates, Flammability of clothing textile, Colorfastness, Dimensional changes and Colorfastness to Laundering, Pilling Resistance, Thermal Transmittance. We also have our garments tested for sharp points and edges; small parts/choking hazards; suffocation hazards; small part use & abuse: torque & tension test. Our sizes are verified and tracking labels are tested as they apply to children’s sleepwear.
How long until I see results?
Every baby is unique and comes with their own set of needs and timelines. While many babies see remarkable sleep success on night one, others may take a few nights to cozy up to it. This adjustment period is normal.
Do you recommend sizing up?
Our products run true to size. Even if your baby is in between sizes, we do not recommend sizing above your baby's current weight.
What materials are used?
We say this a lot but, material matters. In addition to our careful design, we also sought out the best materials in terms of product safety, quality, and comfort. We’ve incorporated 70% bamboo into our bamboo-cotton blend not only for it’s buttery-soft touch, but because of its additional benefits.

The natural fibers in bamboo are moisture wicking and enable essential airflow. In fact, it is one of the most breathable and absorbent plant-based materials. We believe this is the best option for keeping your little one comfortable and prevent overheating while using the gentle weighted system. Our fabrics are not treated with flame retardant. The inner poly beads used are non-toxic and do not give off harmful chemicals. They are hypoallergenic and easy to clean.
How does your sleep suit differ from others?

This product was inspired by well-established calming techniques like swaddling and facilitated tucking — both of which rely on steady, gentle input to help babies feel secure. Similarly, our sleepwear features softly distributed, non-concentrated weight designed to reflect that same calming intention, while respecting the unique needs of growing, active infants.

More than just a sleep suit, it’s a thoughtful system.
Our patented Gradual Weight Technology™ offers an intentional, gentle approach to comfort and calm. Weight is distributed subtly and precisely — placed only where it helps, and intentionally absent where it doesn’t. From no weight in the feet, to the lightest touch on the upper torso and shoulders, and carefully graded increases in between, the design promotes soothing tactile input while maintaining hip mobility, breathability, and freedom of movement.

We’ve obsessed over every detail to enhance your baby’s comfort and safety — from the light chest and free-feet construction of our gradually weighted structure, to our OEKO-TEX® certified bamboo blend, selected for its exceptional softness, breathability, and temperature regulation. A low-profile, side-entry two-way zipper adds convenience without bulk or discomfort — every element is there for a reason.

We believe even the smallest design choices matter — and we think you’ll feel the difference, too.

How do I dress my baby when wearing the weighted sleep suit?
Young babies are not very good at controlling their own temperature which is why room temperatures of 68°-72°F is the sweet spot when it comes to ideal sleep conditions for babies.

There’s a rule of thumb that some mama’s swear by when dressing their baby: dress them how mama is dressed + 1 layer. Of course this isn’t an exact science, and it’s better to have a baby slightly underdressed vs. risk overheating. Typically, however, pairing our sleep suit with standard cotton full-body pajamas is very complementary to that temperature window.

If indoor temperatures shift with the seasons, be sure to adjust accordingly. For chillier weather, (62º-67ºF) we’ve found a cozy set of fleece footed pajamas with a onesie underneath may be adequate. If things heat up (73º-76º), shed the layers to keep things cool and comfortable for your little one. Sometimes a simple short-sleeve onesie will do, or even just a diaper underneath the sleep sack can be enough.

If your baby is uncomfortably warm or too cold, you’ll likely hear about it in the form of wake ups and fussiness. To check if temperature is the issue, feel the back of their neck (or tummy). If it's a comfortable warmth then they’re probably fine. If you notice their skin feels clammy, they may be too warm. It is normal for their hands, arms, or feet to feel cool.

We never recommend having your child wear a hood or hat while sleeping. This can pose risks of suffocation or overheating.
What are your recommended care instructions?
Our suits are made to be durable and easy to care for. However, to maximize the longevity of the garment we suggest treating it with a little extra love due to the nature of bamboo materials. To clean, simply turn it inside out and zip closed. Wash in cold water on the delicate, low spin cycle. While it’s best not to machine-dry, if you do, keep it on the lowest heat cycle on tumble dry.
What is your return policy?
We hope you love your order! However, if you wish to make a return, we ask that it be initiated within 30 days of your order. It must be in new, unused condition with the original packaging and tags. Unfortunately we are unable to offer a refund on any “used” garments for return, this includes if it has been worn or washed. Any shipping charges incurred on the original order are nonrefundable, and customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
